Greater Boston Food Bank Fundraiser
January-February 2018
Greater Boston Food Bank provides local Boston residents with food and nutritional resources, which is a particular need during the winter. Throughout January Student Council will collect donations each day in homeroom. Please donate any amount because every little bit counts. Class VI "Sixie" Forum

The Class VI Forum is meant for members of Class VI to meet and interact with older members of the BLS community and learn more about what its like to be a BLS student, as well as learn what to expect in the coming six years. We encourage upperclassmen to stop by and give our new sixies some advice. There will be advice on managing academics, social life, stress and time management, and any other general questions.
Candy and Conversations

importantly, the conversation that takes place during this open forum will add to our proposal for various policy changes, which will be
presented to the administration in April. Everyone is invited, and candy will be provided!
Crystal Apple Awards

Students write essays to nominate the teachers they think have done an excellent job and deserve recognition. One student's essay is read at graduation, and two additional essays will be read aloud at the awards ceremony late in June. Any student can write an essay to nominate a teacher.
